Harry Potter Premier

Picture it - three full theaters, packed to the brim with high-schoolers (and a few older fans... ahem) all waiting for the movie to begin. The tension was palpable as the trailers dragged on and on. And then it happened, The Goblet of Fire happened.
It pains me to say this, because I do enjoy the movies, think they are good fun and all, but this one one was different. YOU WILL NOT UNDERSTAND THIS FILM IF YOU HAVE NOT READ THE BOOKS. That is the long and the short. It is funnier, darker and covers about 80% of the material from the fourth book. I thinkg the PG13 rating is waranted and no child should see this film... the whole idea of taking a kid's blood to raise a dark lord from the grave is just too much, maybe even for me.
So I didn't get home until close to 4am this morning. I'm le tired. It was fun, the movie was fanciful and entertaining, but I left feeling waaay more creepy than I did when I read the books - maybe it's a sign of my lack of imagination, maybe the shock factor of films, whose to say?
